FRP rockbolt is a new support material composed of FRP full thread bolt, FRP nut and FRR plate. It has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and easy cutting. It is widely used in coal mine, tunnel, slope and foundation pit support. Self-drilling hollow rockbolts are mainly used for soft soil which is difficult to pre-pore.

- Applications requiring low conductivity or electromagnetic neutrality: aluminum and copper smelters; manholes for electrical and telephone equipment; bases for transmission/communication towers; airport control towers; magnetic resonance imaging in hospitals; railroad crossings; and specialized military structures.
- Tunneling/bored-hole applications requiring reinforcement of temporary concrete structures: structures including mine walls, underground rail transit structures, and underground vertical shafts.
- Weight-sensitive structures: Concrete construction in areas with poor bearing soil conditions, remote locations, sensitive environmental areas, or seismically active zones presents unique challenges that can be addressed using lightweight reinforcements.
- Heat-sensitive applications: Apartment terraces; thermally insulated concrete homes and basements; thermally heated floors and air-conditioned rooms.
