Product Description
Below is the standard installation procedure for optimal support in mining tunnels:

Choose the proper bit and drill a hole according to bolt diameter, bolt length, and drilling procedure. The hole length must be at least 150mm longer than the length of the friction bolt.

Place a bearing plate onto the friction bolt with the dome against the ring and the tapered end at the front.

Friction bolts must be installed as perpendicular to the rock surface as possible.

Put the driver dolly into the bolt and drive the friction bolt into the hole until the plate is firmly secured against the rock surface.

Do not pound on the friction bolt once the plate tightly fixes against the rock surface, to avoid damaging the friction bolt end.

Pull tests shall be performed to determine the initial anchorage capacity of the friction bolts after installation.
Design Structure: The friction bolt is roll-formed into a "C" shape using high-tensile steel bands. One end is tapered for easy and quick insertion into the pre-drilled hole, while the other end features a securely welded ring to hold the bearing plate tightly against the rock surface.
