Friction Stabilizer Bolt Details
The friction stabilizer bolt is a new type of anchor of full-length anchoring and active reinforcement of surrounding rock. It is composed of an anchor rod and tray. The anchor rod is made of high-strength steel pipe and has longitudinal slits. When it is installed in a borehole slightly smaller than the pipe diameter, it can immediately apply radial pressure to the borehole through the entire length and prevent the surrounding rock from sliding down. Coupled with the supporting force of the tray, the surrounding rock is in a three-direction stress state to achieve rock stability.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How does a friction stabilizer bolt (split set) work to secure rock formations?
A: The split set stabilizer is a steel tube with a longitudinal slot. When driven into a slightly smaller drilled hole, it generates continuous radial pressure along its entire length. This provides immediate active reinforcement and prevents surrounding rock layers from sliding or shifting.
Q: Are anchoring agents or resins required for split set friction bolts?
A: No, one of the biggest advantages of friction stabilizers is that they do not require chemical grout or resin anchoring agents. The anchoring capacity is achieved purely through the mechanical friction between the high-strength steel slot and the borehole wall.
Q: What is the recommended drilling hole diameter for a 46mm split set anchor bolt?
A: For a 46mm diameter stabilizer, the recommended drilling hole diameter is typically between 42mm and 45mm. This ensure proper interference fit to generate maximum radial holding force.
Q: What steel grades are used to manufacture these stabilizer bolts?
A: High-quality Q235 and Q355 structural steel grades are utilized, ensuring optimal ductility and tensile strength to handle severe deformation and shear loads in roadway and mine tunnel supports.
Q: In which applications are split sets most effective?
A: They are widely applied in hard rock mining, subway and railway tunnels, coal mine roadway support, and emergency rescue operations. Their ease of quick installation provides immediate safety support for underground personnel and machinery.
